Screens have gained importance in horticulture, also due to the emergence of new cultivation. As a result, screen installations are used more intensively. Steel pull wires are loaded more frequently to open and close the screen. Wear therefore occurs earlier, especially if the tensile wire is wound directly on the shaft. Is there a solution to prevent premature failure? Yes there is: the D2S divisible tension sleeve, an improvement on existing divisible tension sleeves. An innovative development from our own Alumat Zeeman production facilities.
The abbreviation D2S stands for divisible 2-inch tension sleeve. The idea behind it is as clever as it is simple: the draw wire is accurately guided into the grooves when it is wound. Direct contact with the wire is a thing of the past, preventing the wire coils from touching each other and unnecessary wear and tear. The wire does not deform and retains its original shape.
Installation of the D2S tensioning sleeve is possible and easy in both new buildings and renovations. As the tensioning sleeve consists of two parts, the screen shaft does not need to be disconnected during renovation. Despite its compact size, the D2S tensioning sleeve is suitable for screen sections of up to 6 metres. Its own wear resistance is also well taken care of. The lightweight tensioning bus is made of a wear-resistant plastic. Last but not least: the tensioning bus can be recycled.
