BOAL Group, a leading partner for builders and growers in high-tech greenhouse horticulture, integrated solar solutions and specialist in in-house extruded aluminium, has once again strengthened its position as an ESG leader this year by rising to 33rd position in Morningstar Sustainalytics' Global Top 50 ESG Risk Rating, achieving the status of the highest ranked Dutch company. Likewise, this places BOAL Group among the Global Top 1% and makes it the highest ranked company in its category worldwide.
This recognition for the second year in a row is testament to BOAL's successful and proactive approach in integrating sustainability and corporate responsibility into all aspects of its operations. "Our strong and clear ESG strategy, characterised by challenging but realistic targets, has once again translated into improved ESG performance and this prestigious listing," said Stefan Eggers, ESG Director at BOAL Group.
Adri Pols, CEO of BOAL Group, shares his enthusiasm: "It is an honour to once again receive this recognition, confirming that we are headed in the right direction with our ESG strategy. Our collective commitment to sustainability, social responsibility, and transparency positively impacts our community and contributes to a better future."

The impact of this strategy extends beyond BOAL's business processes. As Eggers stresses, "This rating impacts the entire production chain. Our suppliers, customers and partners therefore play a crucial role. With our products and services, they can make a positive impact on their end products and operations, from reducing their carbon footprint to enhancing biodiversity in their environment. So on balance, everyone, right down to the end consumer, benefits."
"The importance of this ESG score is underlined by the way it guides investment decisions, not only for our company but also for our suppliers, customers, investors, and other stakeholders."
BOAL Group offers partners and investors a comprehensive portfolio of modular solutions for high-quality indoor cultivation and solar applications. These range from complete aluminium greenhouse cover systems with integrated solar power, insect netting and ventilation solutions to insulated storage rooms, climate screen systems or greenhouse components.
BOAL occupies a unique place within the value chain, thanks to in-house expertise in both extruded aluminium and metal processing. This has proven to be a differentiating factor. Aluminium is also 100% recyclable. Through long-term cooperative relationships with regional and global partners, BOAL has delivered more than 8,000 hectares of greenhouses, more than 15,000 different extrusion profiles and is a reliable partner in solar mounting applications and solar carports. BOAL's solutions can be found in more than 50 countries and help feed and power a growing global population with minimal use of resources.
At the heart of BOAL's business strategy is its long-term ESG strategy - to reduce its carbon footprint - but also to future-proof the BOAL organisation.
